So, here I am. Back in Yellowknife. I skipped out last summer, but am happy to be here in the new house with Randy, Leslie, Peyton and Chase! My second home/family!
It feels a little wierd to be back, but very comfortable and normal at the same time. Its only day one and I have had so much “lovin” since I got off the plane. Peyton and A. Leslie were there to pick me up and I got my favorite greeting – a huge, long, excited hug from my sweet sis Peyton. Then when I was saying goodnight to Chase later that night, he told me I could just sleep with him If I wanted, then asked me with a scrunched up face why I didn’t when he woke up this morning. Tonight he told me to stay and cuddle with him for a while, but I had a movie date lined up with A. Leslie and Peyton, so another night I guess! Mali and U. Benji came over to hang out for a bit tonight too. Mali gave me a great hug and 3 pictures of me that she colored herself earlier that day – all in pink! Plus I got a sneak preview of her dance (ballet) recital routine. What more could a girl ask for?
Okay, well in all reality, I might have a couple things to ask for. Its only day one…and I already miss my man. Not in a depressing, I can’t go on kind of way. Just a simple missing. Lucky for me to have someone to miss though. And someone like him too…whew.
Well, that’s my update. After some hesitation to come up for the summer, my “welcoming” definately confirmed that this is where I should be right now and made my heart pretty stinkin’ full. Already!
